Mantel Care Appreciation

The Municipality of Halderberge is proud of informal caregivers and their commitment to a family member, friend or neighbor. As thanks for this you can apply every year from September 1 to November 1 for an appreciation. Surplus arranges this appreciation. Read the Questions & Answers below for more information and to make sure you qualify for the Mantelzorgwaardering.

The informal care appreciation is an appreciation from the municipality this can be applied for once a year.

The deadline to apply for the informal care appreciation has passed. The informal care appreciation can be applied for again from September 1 to November 1, 2026.

Conditions of application for informal care appreciation

  • The care recipient (the person you care for) lives in Halderberge municipality.
  • You provide long-term, intensive and unpaid care and/or support to a loved one close to you.
  • One informal care appreciation can be requested per caregiver and per address.
  • One informal care appreciation can be received per address.

Do you care for someone unpaid for at least 3 months and 8 hours per week? For example a partner, family member, child, neighbor, friend or acquaintance. Then you are an informal caregiver and can apply for the informal care appreciation. 

The person for whom you provide care or support is the caregiver. 

Conditions of application for informal care appreciation

  • The care recipient (the person you care for) lives in Halderberge municipality.
  • You provide long-term, intensive and unpaid care and/or support to a loved one close to you.
  • One informal care appreciation can be requested per caregiver and per address.
  • One informal care appreciation can be received per address.

No, if you receive payment for support then you cannot apply for Mantelzorgwaardering.

As a caregiver you do not have to live in the municipality of Halderberge. The place of residence of the caretaker is decisive here.

Per care recipient, one caregiver may apply for the Mantelzorgwaardering. The appreciation consists of several gift certificates that can be divided among the other informal caregivers. 

If the caregiver died after April 1, you may still apply for Mantelzorgwaardering for this year.

The informal care appreciation consists of gift vouchers. The amount is determined annually by the Municipality of Halderberge.

You will receive the Mantelzorgbon in November. You will be notified in early November after the application when you can pick up the Mantelzorgwaardering.

The Mantelzorgwaardering must be reapplied for every year. Even if your situation has not changed.

We process your data in our system. Surplus handles personal data with care, according to the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). By applying for the Mantelzorgwaardering, the caregiver and the care recipient agree to this.

Are you no longer a family caregiver due to death, moving to another municipality or because family care support is no longer needed?

Via mantelzorg.halderberge@surplus.nl or Mantelzorg Halderberge 0165 - 31 31 00 (Monday to Thursday between 9.00 and 12.00) you can deregister as a caregiver. We do not receive messages of death from the municipality of Halderberge, because of the AVG.

You can apply for the Mantelzorgwaardering through the informal care appreciation page in September and October.   

No, this is not possible. Each informal caregiver is entitled to one informal care voucher.
